Kate has worked in paediatric physiotherapy since commencing clinical practice in 2006. Now largely based at The Children’s Hospital, Kate has a special interest in managing lower limb injuries in children, and has presented widely on these issues at conferences in Australia and abroad, including holding regular clinics in the Pacific Islands. Kate has completed a specialist certificate in Paediatric Orthopaedic Physiotherapy at the University of Melbourne. Kate has also published research on Talipes Equinovarus, and her paper can be found here.

Sala has a keen interest in sports and musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Being an avid recreational runner, swimmer and netball player herself, she understands the importance of keeping the body fit and healthy. She has worked with high level athletes across basketball, netball and AFL. Sala is also working part-time with the GWS Giants and completing her PhD alongside this. She is passionate about helping her patients overcome their injuries and get them back to where they need to be and beyond.

Jesse’s experience with soccer sports coverage sparked a keen interest in sporting injuries. As an avid gym-goer himself, Jesse understands the importance of an exercise focused approach towards injury prevention & rehabilitation. Jesse values getting to know his clients to empower them on their rehabilitation journey & help them work towards their individual health & fitness goals. Jesse is in our Accelerated Graduate Program which involves ongoing mentorship from our senior physiotherapists.

In his spare time Jesse loves all things sport, both participating or watching from the sidelines.

Zach is a Senior Physiotherapist with over 8 years experience working in professional sport. Zach has a keen interest in both sports and musculoskeletal physiotherapy, injury management and rehabilitation. Zach is driven by a passion to ensure the best therapeutic and performance outcomes for both clients and athletes with a focus on contributing to the success of an athletes team. Previously Zach worked in Rugby League at Manly Warringah Sea Eagles as well as Gridiron Australia. Zach is currently the Senior Rehab Physiotherapist for the GWS Giants AFL Club. His knowledge of end stage rehab following ACL surgery and acute muscle injury is highly regarded.

Dr Nicola Hutchinson is a Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist*. Nicola has undergone further extensive training in musculoskeletal disorders. As a result, Nicola has the skills to assess and manage complex musculoskeletal and spinal conditions. These include low back pain, neck pain, headaches, dizziness, whiplash and jaw pain.

*A Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist has undertaken a rigorous 2-year training programme culminating in an examination by her peers to achieve the title of Specialist Physiotherapist, in addition to her undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Physiotherapy completed at the University of Queensland in 1992 and 2009. Nicola has also worked as a clinical educator at the University of Queensland.

Nicola believes in listening to her patients in order to specifically address each patient’s individual problem and concerns. Nicola uses a combination of hands on treatment and exercise prescription designed specifically for each person’s problem to improve patient outcomes. A particular interest of Nicola’s is the thoracic spine, headaches, and dizziness.

In her spare time Nicola competes at an elite level in triathlon and enjoys skiing.

BApSc (Phty), CIMI

Susanna has over 20 years experience in private practice and, having had 2 children herself, knows the importance of pre and post natal education. She uses this personal experience and her Clinical Pilates and physiotherapy theoretical knowledge to educate women about exercise and strength during and after their pregnancy, including postural and positioning advice for breastfeeding to reduce strain and injury to the neck and thoracic spine. She teaches Clinical Pilates classes to suit all fitness levels for both men and women. A great adjunct to her Clinical Pilates education is the use of Real Time Ultrasound to assess and train the pelvic floor and deep abdominal muscles correctly. She is also a Certified Infant Massage Instructor.

Steve graduated from his Bachelor degree at Sydney University in 1999 and has gained experience working extensively with various sporting teams and private clinics in Australia and the U.K. In 2008 Steve commenced his 2 year postgraduate studies and completed his Masters in Sports & Exercise Physiotherapy in 2009, gaining him greater depth of experience in a wide range of elite sporting teams from the Sydney Swans to the Australian Gymnastic Squads. Formerly an elite gymnast and keen footballer himself, Steve thrives on assessing and treating lower limb and pelvic biomechanical injuries and disorders, in order to ensure a quick and sustainable return to sport in all levels of sporting enthusiasts. Steve is currently Gymnastic Australia’s preferred touring team physio and travels with the athletes to international competitions in the lead up to Paris 2024 Olympics. Steve has been Practice Principal and Owner of Mosman Physiotherapy since 2009.
